Great River Medical Center offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of southeast Iowa, west-central Illinois and northeast Missouri. • Hospice House – Great River Hospice House opened in October 2007, becoming the only facility of its kind in southeast Iowa. The exterior and interior feature a lodge and mission-style theme with soft, natural colors. Each of the six patient and family rooms features a fireplace, sofa-sleeper, laptop hookup, private deck and skylight.
• Klein Center—Long-term nursing care including a special unit for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of severe dementia
• Neuro-Orthopedic Center—Includes comprehensive orthopedic services and an inpatient rehabilitation unit and gym featuring a mock grocery store; kitchenette; car and various walking surfaces
• Wound and Hyperbaric Center – A team of specially trained physicians and nurses apply the latest healing technologies and techniques, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Each year, Great River Medical Center treats nearly 30,000 people in the Emergency Department, admits more than 6,000 patients and logs more than 180,000 outpatient procedures.
